The pattern and yarn choice yields a large monkey so adjust hook size and yarn weight to your liking.

I used the following materials:

Red Heart Soft Essentials Yarn in Charcoal and Biscuit
Hook I / 5.50mm
A bit of dark brown yarn for the nose
Pair of 12mm safety eyes
Poly-fil fiber
Yarn Needle
Glue (I used E6000)
Scissors

All the body parts are made first and then sewn together.

*Stuff firmly with Poly-fil as you go.
Sl st and fasten off leaving a long tail.
Note: You may make the tail shorter or longer by removing or adding rounds. It’s up to you!

Now let’s put the pieces together!

Start by sewing the eye patches to the head very close together between rounds 12 and 13. You are going to sew on the second row of the patch so the last round folds up all around itself as pictured.

You can now glue the safety eyes into the middle of each eye patch. Make sure you put just a bit of glue so that it doesn’t smear outwards when you push it into place.
Take the snout and partially fill it with poly-fil. Place it centered and overlapping the bottom first 2 rounds of the eye patches and sew around. As you sew it to the body, continue to insert poly-fil so it is firmly stuffed by the time you close it shut.
Sew an ear on each side of the head at the same height as the eye patches (between rounds 12 and 13)
Take the legs and sew them in a straight line to the bottom of the body on each side of the last round about an inch apart from each other. Sew the arms to the sides of the body at a slight angle towards the front, and sew the tail about 12 rounds from the bottom up.
Finally, take a piece of brown yarn to make the nose. Insert from the front and center between rounds 5 and 6 of the snout and exit at a slight angle 2 rounds up. Go back through the center and exit on the opposite side forming a “V” shape. Repeat one more time and fasten off.

And that’s it!
