Large Wonderful Elves Free Amigurumi Pattern

Materials:

Crochet hook US size G / 6 & H / 8 (4mm & 5mm)
Hobbii Ribbon
Rainbow Cotton 8/4 for the scarf
Curly from Go Handmade
2 pairs of safety eyes 0.7 inches (18mm)
8 wooden beads 1.2 inches (30mm)
Fiber fill

Sewing thread or embroidery yarn for the mouth

Pattern information:

Everything besides the scarf is crocheted in Ribbon using crochet hook US size H / 8 (5mm).
The scarf is crocheted in Rainbow using crochet hook G / 6 (4mm).

Main pattern – used for both the boy and the girl:
Legs and arms:

Work a foundation chain in red by chaining 60. This is for the legs. Work ss back in each ch. Cut the
yarn and weave in the ends.
Work a foundation chain in gray by chaining 60. This is for the arms. Work ss back in each ch. Cut the
yarn and weave in the ends.
We’ll return to this foundation ch when it’s going to be assembled.

and pull it out again on the other side. Place the beads on the chain and tie a knot.

Pattern – Boy:
Follow the main pattern above including arms, legs, body and head and continue like this:
Overalls: in red
This round is worked in the sts from rnd 16. Insert the yarn in one of the sts. Work ss all the way
around. Weave in the end.

Insert the yarn at the front of the elf where you wish to place one of the suspenders, work ch sts so the
length of the foundation chain is able to reach the middle of the back of the elf. Work 1 ss and work ch
sts just like you did on the other side, and work 1 ss at the front where the other suspender is going to
be placed. Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.

Sew buttons on the front under each strap.
Place the Christmas hat on the head and sew the hat over your head.

Scarf: in Rainbow – double thread

  1. Ch 100. Work 1 hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook. Work hdc till the end of the row. (98)

    Cut the yarn and weave in the ends

Pattern – Girl:
Follow the main pattern above including arms, legs, body and head and continue like this:
Skirt: in red

  1. Turn the elf around so the bottom of the elf is upwards. Insert the yarn in the sts from rnd 16. This
    rnd is worked in the sts from rnd 16. Work sc around. Finish with 1 ss. (48)

Place the hat on top of the head and sew it onto the hair / head by sewing
a few stitches around the hat. Make 2 ponytails and cut the hair to your liking. Embroider a mouth and
add red cheeks using a bit of rouge, if you like.
