Before we assemble the bunny, take the ears and trace them on the back of the fabric you chose. Cut the fabric somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 inch towards the inside of the line you traced EXCEPT for the bottom, so that there will be an edge of yarn showing around the fabric when we glue the pieces together.

Repeat the same for the bottom of the feet so the fabric covers the first 4-5 rounds. Notice that the shape is a bit oval rather than a perfect round.

Set the pieces of fabric aside and we will glue them to the body once we have sewn the parts together, which is the next step.

Take the ears and sew them to the head after round 3 on each side of the Magic Ring. Sew the feet, slightly facing outward, with 9 stitches between them. Lastly, the arms get sewn towards the back close to the first round of the body (the neck) as pictured.

With your yarn needle and pink embroidery thread, let’s make the nose. Insert the yarn from the front of round 14 (centered between the eyes) and exit 2 rows up at a slight angle. Go through the same spot where you first inserted the needle and exit at the opposite angle forming a “V” shape. Then just repeat taking the yarn from side to side until you have “filled” the “V” shape. Go over the entire shape a few more times to build thickness to it.

We can now glue the fabic pieces to the body using E6000 or any fabric glue. Make sure you get to the edges all around to minimize fraying.

Finally, for the little flower, I followed this video tutorial by simplydaisy using Lion Brand’s bonbon yarn and a size E / 2.25mm hook. Either sew or glue the flower where the head and the ear meet to the side of your preference.

You have completed your Spring bunny…. or your Halloween bunny, or your Thanksgiving bunny, or your Christmas bunny!
